Life on the Streets: Day 7 – Part 3

Same number in the tunnel as last night, but far fewer in park itself. Something I forgot to write about last night is that one of the guys in north west part of park actually has a small portable TV that he plugs in and leaves on while he sleeps.

New observation of the night:

Tonight there where people in St. James visible from the entrance which is new from past nights. St. James Station has two entrances, one in the northwest, as I already mentioned, and another just east of the halfway point of the northern side. St. James Station however is also a station I never use, so unlike Circular Quay, Central, and King’s Cross, I am very unfamiliar with the layout. Two were awake and visible. With no trains running, I have no excuse to be down there…

Opted to just count those two and keep moving instead of risking it like smaller tunnel.

Did not stop to chat with anyone, in fact, didn’t even see anyone. Bypassed a lot of the strip clubs and hookers by taking Bayswater back here instead of staying on Darlinghurst.

Potential correction, I think she was just a hooker who the years have not treated well.

On a different note…

Bats fighting sound like a cat fight in the air, which, if your just walking along minding your own business and this suddenly happens over your head, it pretty much freaks the crap out of you.

This place is loaded with homeless!

I didn’t even walk all the way in, but where the wall meets the floor is lined with them all the way around the plaza. There is one lonely one outside the library as well.

Three of the usuals are here (Grandma, the crazy apostle, and the one other guy I don’t have a nickname for). There is only a light breeze, nothing too bad. It could be because I’m still warm from the walk, but I haven’t put Jacket #2 on yet. Should soon while I’m still warm.

Just woke up. Wasn’t freezing last night.

Going to try sleeping through as much of it possible.

It was creepy how few people there where at about 9 am (only counted four) think I’ll spend last bit of time people watching at Circular Quay.
